Arsenal fan from Uganda, John Ssenyonga was killed by a security officer in Kalungu District for celebrating his team's goal against Manchester United on Wednesday.
Ugandan media reports that this happened at the Afric Restaurant located in the Uganda Cares building in Lukaya city.
Information from people who were at the game, says that it all started at 6:30 pm in Uganda, when Arsenal fans were celebrating the second goal their team had won against Manchester United.
The owner of the restaurant they were in immediately put out the fire to keep them quiet, but instead of calming down, they continued to boast that their team is winning the match on the 14th day of the Championship.
Richard Okecho, who was in charge of security at the building, then asked the fans to be quiet, and started shooting at them, resulting in the death of Ssenyonga while another fan known as Lawrence was injured.
It is not known if Okecho was the only Manchester United fan in the country. Two months ago, Arsenal fan Onan killed Manchester United's Benjamin Okello in a club shooting in Kabale.
Goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba both from the Crown helped Arsenal beat Manchester United at the Emirates, keeping their hopes of winning the Premier League title alive, seven points behind Liverpool.
