The shareholders of the French company Vivendi confirmed that the companies were all separate and operated independently, as well as the approval of the Bolloré family, which has the majority of shares (equal to 30%) in the company.

They are companies that include Canal+, which operates a video business, Havas, which provides communication and marketing services, and Louis Hachette Group, which deals with the publishing of various books and documents.

It was done for the purpose of exploiting business opportunities that Vivendi was not seeing and increasing its value on the Stock Market, especially since each company will be listed on the market separately.

Vivendi shareholders supported the decision to the extent of 97%, although there were a few shareholders who did not agree with the decision, showing that it was to encourage the Bollorés.

It is an act approved in Paris on December 09, 2024, after a meeting that brought together all those shareholders. It was an action that took place outside the building where the anti-Bolloré protests were taking place.

It was made up of 100 organizations that came together to form a group that aimed to denounce the powerful organization in France, accusing it of using its institutions to support policies based on early French ideas, accusations that the Bollorés vehemently deny.

It is planned that Canal+ will be listed on the London Stock Exchange in England but will remain headquartered in France, Havas will be listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange while Louis Hachette Group will be listed on the Stock Exchange. The small French stock market is known as Euronext Growth.

These companies will start trading their shares on December 16, 2024, and Vivendi shareholders will also own shares in all of these companies.

According to figures, Canal+ is worth 6 billion Euros, Havas is worth 2.5 billion Euros while Louis Hachette Group is worth 2.2 billion Euros.
