The Rwanda Security Service (RSSB) has announced that the Government has reached an advanced stage of negotiations with an investor who wants to build a six-star hotel on the outskirts of the Nyarutarama Golf Course in the City of Kigali.

This investment was returned by the CEO of RSSB, Regis Rugemanshuro, in an interview with Television Rwanda.

It was in the line of explaining the recent decision of the Government of Rwanda to increase the amount of pension money that workers are deducted from their salaries.

One of the things Rugemanshuro was asked about is the investment made by RSSB, especially the one it made in the construction and expansion of the golf course located in Nyarutarama.

In response, he said that this is a profitable project and will attract other investments, stressing that discussions are currently underway to build a six-star hotel on the outskirts of the golf course.

He said, "The golf course is a profitable project, the second is that it attracts other investments, as we speak now we are happy to announce that we are in final negotiations with a foreign investor who wants to build a six-star hotel on the outskirts of the golf course. .”

He went on to say that "These things would not be possible without investing in infrastructure, where you have 47 kilometers of infrastructure, a nice five-star hotel for the players, to convince an investor to bring his hard-earned money to build a six-star hotel."

When this hotel is built, it will be the first six-star hotel in the country, as the highest standard hotels have five stars.

It has been a while since Rwanda began to focus on tourism based on Golf, known as 'Golf Tourism'.

This vision led to the decision to renovate and expand Kigali Golf Resort & Villas located in Gasabo District, Kacyiru Sector.

This course has been expanded significantly as it has gone from nine holes to 18. It has also expanded from the previous 18 hectares to 52 hectares.

In the first phase of this project, the Government of Rwanda has invested 17.7 billion Frw, which includes the construction of the stadium itself, the purchase of machines to maintain it, the construction of houses that will be needed at the stadium (shelter houses) and other maintenance activities next to it, to have to make the field international.

A modern five-star club house, the first in Africa to be built on the Golf Course, has been completed, which will help players relax, have meals, use the Gym, chat, receive small meetings, etc.
