President Paul
Kagame expressed that Rwanda is not a small country with what it can do, based
on hosting the General Assembly of the FIA.
He announced this
at the awarding night for the best performance in FIA-controlled competitions,
which took place this Friday, December 13, 2024, at the BK Arena.
When Naomi Schiff
received President Kagame, she asked him what he thought about the fact that
Rwanda is small, but it has received such a world-class event and it is going
well.
In response, he
explained to him that Rwanda is not a small country compared to its ability to
prepare large projects.
He said, “We are
not small about anything, that's what we believe. We believe that there is
something we can do, especially what we can do with friends, partners, and
hosts for what we already have. That is our goal and our ability to carry out
heavy projects like this.”
Rwanda was the
first country in Africa to host the FIA General Assembly in the last 120
years.
President Kagame
also announced this after he presented Rwanda's candidacy to host the first
major race in motor racing, Formula One.
