President Kagame and the Director of the FIA ​​unveiled a racing car made in Rwanda

President Paul Kagame together with the President of the International Automobile Racing Association (FIA), Mohammed Ben Sulayem, unveiled the "Cross Car" racing car made in Rwanda by the students of IPRC Kigali.

 This event took place on the evening of this Thursday, at the Kigali Convention Center where the FIA ​​General Assembly meetings will be held for the next few days, which will end on Thursday, December 13, 2024. 

The Head of State and Ben Sulayem were accompanied by the President of the Rwanda Racing Association (RAC), Gakwaya Christian. 

This car had been built for about a month by the students of IPRC Kigali where they collaborated with the FIA ​​technician. It is expected that Dutchman Max Verstappen, who won Formula One this year, will test the performance of this car as part of the punishment received by the FIA. 

After the unveiling of the car, the officials attended a dinner that brought together different people who participated in the FIA ​​General Assembly Meeting that coincided with the 120th anniversary of the organization. 

Leaders in various fields including politics and celebrities in sports and entertainment such as Steve Harvey were among the participants of this dinner held at the Kigali Convention Center. 

The FIA ​​General Assembly will conclude with the presentation of its awards to the athletes who have excelled in the races it organizes, which will begin at the BK Arena on Friday evening.
