Uganda Airlines will officially launch direct scheduled flights between Entebbe and Kigali on November 18, 2026. The national carrier will service the route with a daily flight frequency, providing seven options per week for regional travelers. The announcement, made during a launch event at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, marks a major milestone in the airline’s push to expand its regional footprint.
The upcoming connection between Entebbe International Airport and Kigali International Airport aims to tap into growing business and leisure travel between Uganda and Rwanda. By introducing this daily service, the airline intends to improve regional connectivity, cut down travel times, and offer more flexible schedules for cross-border commuters.
Company officials stated that the route expansion aligns with the carrier’s broader commercial strategy to build a robust regional hub. Alongside the Kigali route, Uganda Airlines also revealed plans to connect West Africa by launching four weekly flights to Accra, Ghana, starting October 27, 2026. The addition of these strategic destinations is expected to stimulate trade, strengthen bilateral ties, and enhance competition, giving travelers greater choice and better pricing flexibility.
