South Korean lawmakers recently announced that North Korea has agreed to send 10,000 Russian troops to help fight Ukraine, with all of them expected to leave by December 2024.
President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine also announced that North Korea plans to send 10,000 troops to Russia, asking friendly countries to take sanctions against it.
South Korea's National Intelligence Service, NIS, also announced on October 23, 2024 that North Korea has sent 1,500 soldiers to Russia, adding to the 1,500 that went there earlier this month.
According to the NIS, since August 2023, North Korea has sent to Russia more than 13,000 containers of artillery, missiles and small arms, to fill the gap of what was lost in Ukraine.
