On this Wednesday, the Ugandan MPs gathered during the meeting of the General Assembly studying the revision of the coffee bill, 12 of which were immediately suspended.
MPs Francis Zaake and Anthony Akol were among those who started the riots when the House was studying the proposed amendment to the coffee law that was not agreed upon.
The conflict started when the member of parliament from Mityana, Francis Zaake stood up and said that a person who is not a member of parliament entered the House of Commons with a gun and it caused concern, but the Speaker of the House told him that he was his bodyguard and he was unarmed.
When Sepite Zaake was returning to his seat, he found that Deputy Antony Akol sat him on the chair, he tried to push him to join him there, they did not understand and started throwing fists, and other MPs joined in and there was chaos in the House.
It asked fellow MPs and security guards to stop the fighting, the Speaker of the Parliament immediately announced that he suspended all 12 Members of Parliament who were involved in the riots.
These MPs who have been absent from the House of Commons for three consecutive years include Akol, Zaake, Wakayima Musoke, Aloysius Mukasa, Charles Tebandeke, Isaiah Ssasaga, Asinansi Nyakato, Derrick Nyeko, Frank Kabuye, Ronald Evan Kanyike, Susan Mugabi and Shamim Malende.
The information that became known later says that Deputy Zaake was immediately taken to the doctor's office, and it is said that he was injured in the fight.
