President Paul
Kagame on Tuesday met with Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah of the Kingdom
of Jordan, they discussed the good relations between this kingdom and Rwanda.
It is a message
posted on the wall of the President's Office, Urugwiro Village, on the X
website.
The Head of State
and Al Hussein met in Baku, Azerbaijan, where they attended the 29th United
Nations Climate Change Conference, COP29.
The Kingdom of
Jordan and Rwanda are countries that have a strong relationship based on
agreements that both sides have signed on different occasions, including the
one that has removed the cost of visas for Rwandans who want to go to this
kingdom.
During King
Abdullah II's last visit to Kigali in January this year, an agreement was
signed to prevent double taxation of goods from one country to another,
cooperation in agriculture, trade and economy and related to Cooperation in the
field of health and medicine between Rwanda and Jordan.
This was in
addition to the other two countries that had met in connection with the
exchange of political views in order to strengthen cooperation in trade and
investment, tourism and agriculture.
This visit was
also followed by that of the Minister of Tourism in Jordan, Makram Mustafa A.
Queisi, who also came to Kigali in February 2024, announcing that his country
and Rwanda are going to establish joint plans to develop tourism based on
culture, medicine and 'beliefs.
