Lawyer Elivino Dias, who was defending a Mozambican opposition politician, was shot dead in the capital Maputo.
The lawyer who defended the politician Venâncio Mondlane, was killed on Saturday night, shot by unidentified armed people.
Venâncio Mondlane is one of the most popular candidates in the Presidential elections that took place two weeks ago. He was killed together with Paulo Guambe who was the spokesperson of the party.
Human rights group, Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CDD) reported that they were shot between 10 and 15 times.
The Mozambique police are accused of negligence in this crime, because Guambe died shortly after he was shot, but the police are accused of refusing to take him to a doctor.
While the results of the elections have not yet been announced in Mozambique, Mondlane and his party declared the winner while the ruling Frelimo party also confirmed that it was the winner.
