Shatta Wale Speaks Out After Ghana Seizes Lamborghini Linked to US Fraud Case

Authorities in Ghana have seized a luxury vehicle allegedly connected to proceeds of crime involving popular musician Charles Nii Armah, widely known as Shatta Wale, following a request from the United States.

The 2019 Lamborghini Urus is said to be linked to the illegal dealings of Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian currently serving a seven-year prison sentence in the US for fraud-related offenses.

Shatta Wale has denied any involvement or relationship with the convicted Ghanaian, claiming he is a “third-party owner” of the vehicle. “I don’t know who shipped [it] to the country,” he stated.

Wale, one of Ghana’s most prominent music stars who featured alongside Beyoncé on the song Already from her 2019 Lion King album, took to social media to lash out at authorities for their actions.

He questioned the forceful manner in which the bright yellow Lamborghini was retrieved, criticizing the armed officers who stormed his residence.
