Minister Dr. Nsengiyumva receives the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia





The Prime Minister, Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva, received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, Prak Sokhonn, to discuss expanding relations between the two countries.

The two leaders met on November 18, 2025, in Kigali.

Their discussions focused on the good relations between Rwanda and Cambodia, including new cooperation in various fields, including new agreements signed.

Among the new agreements signed today are the Agreement on Consultative Relations between the two countries and the Agreement on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports.

They also discussed the 46th Council of Ministers of the Francophonie (OIF) which will begin tomorrow in Kigali. Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn commended Rwanda for its warm welcome to the participants of the conference and the smooth progress of its preparations.

Prime Minister Nsengiyumva once again thanked Cambodia, preparing to take over the presidency of Francophonie after this Cabinet meeting, and wished it a successful hosting of the 20th Francophonie Summit.
