Rwanda to bid to host the World Cup for the Disabled in Women





The National Paralympic Committee of Rwanda (NPC Rwanda) is in the process of bidding for Rwanda to host the 2027 Women’s Paralympic World Cup.

The NPC Rwanda recently appointed a new Executive Committee that will lead the organization for a four-year term under the leadership of Bizimana Dominique, who last held the position in 2012.

In an interview with The New Times, Bizimana stressed that among his priorities is preparing a bid for Rwanda to host one of the world-class competitions for people with disabilities.

“We are very ready because we have the bid documents to host the Women’s Paralympic World Cup scheduled for 2027,” he said.

“Rwanda is in a good position to host this event. We have the infrastructure, experience and will. Also, this is the first time this women’s competition will be held in Rwanda.”

The Women’s Paralympics World Cup, which was first held in 2024 and hosted by Barranquilla, Colombia, will bring together 11 countries.}}}
