Tshisekedi's advisor says it's time for DRC to annex Rwanda

Fiston Chrisnovic Balanganayi, Presidential Advisor and one of the spokespersons for Tshisekedi’s party, UDPS, has declared that the time has come for the DRC to take Rwanda and attach it to itself, as it is a small country the size of a village compared to its giant neighbor.

The man has now posted a message on X, where he said that Rwandans like to talk about Tshisekedi but not about President Kagame.

Balanganayi, judging by his social media accounts, appears to be the DRC President’s Advisor on Information and Communications Technology.

In his message, he said, “They don’t talk about [Kagame], they talk about Tshisekedi. The time has come, we must take this small country and attach it to itself, as it is like a village compared to the giant Congo. It is tiring.”

He made this statement in response to Rwandans who have criticized Tshisekedi’s performance, as he continues to exclude those he accuses of working with Rwanda.

Such provocative statements are not the first time a leader in the DRC has spoken out. Since the two countries began to have bad relations, the DRC has continued to attack Rwanda, to the point where Tshisekedi himself has said that he is ready to overthrow the Rwandan leadership, and that he will support anyone who tries to do so.
