Martinelli’s Last Minute Goal Rescues Arsenal Against Man City

Gabriel Martinelli struck a brilliant equaliser in the 93rd minute as Arsenal snatched a 1-1 draw with Premier League rivals Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.

Man City looked ready to leave north London with all three points after Erling Haaland collaborated with Tijjani Reijnders to score a superb counterattack goal in the ninth minute.

Man City defended deep to protect their lead, and even the half time introductions of Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze didn’t immediately change Arsenal’s fortunes.

But in stoppage time, Eze was able to cut into City’s defence, and Martinelli produced a outside of the boot goal past Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The result lifts Arsenal back into second place, though they remain five points behind leaders Liverpool. Man City, on the other hand, sit three points below the Gunners in ninth.
