Celebrity chef Hilda Baci received prayers and words of encouragement from Pastor Bolaji Idowu of Harvesters International Christian Centre as she set out to cook the world’s largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.
The occasion, known as the “Gino Jollof Festival,” showcases a gigantic pot measuring six meters in width and six meters in height, with 250 bags of rice being prepared to feed tens of thousands of guests.
More than 20,000 people signed up for the free festival, which is designed to celebrate Nigerian cuisine on a record breaking scale.
