A shocking incident making the rounds on social media has thrown many into fear after a prophetess identified as Ebere, who ran a ministry in Owerri, was kidnapped and later discovered dead.
The prophetess reportedly disappeared alongside members of her prayer warrior team after they went into a nearby bush for a three day fasting and prayer retreat.
Worried struck the church community when the group failed to return at the end of the programme.
Days later, the ministry was said to have received a distressing phone call from unknown individuals who claimed responsibility for the abduction and demanded ₦20 million ransom for their release.
Several attempts to negotiate reportedly failed as the kidnappers insisted on the full sum of money.
According to information shared online, church members eventually came together to raise the agreed amount of money and sent it to the kidnappers, but unfortunately, the prophetess and her team never made it back.
After noticing this, some members of the church went into the bush to search for the missing prophetess and the team of prayer warriors.
During the search, they allegedly discovered the decaying remains of Prophetess Ebere, while the other prayer warriors haven’t been found dead nor alive.
