Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs interested in APR FC's Djibril Ouattara
The big clubs in the South African Premier League are interested in signing APR FC striker Djibril Ouattara, who has already won the hearts of many in Rwanda.

In January 2025, APR FC welcomed the Burkinabe striker, Cheick Djibril Ouattara, to help them in the play-offs of the Rwanda Premier League.

The 25-year-old player, who had just left Algerian side JS Kabylie, arrived in Rwanda to help the National Defence Force. He has scored nine goals in the Premier League, while he scored two in the Peace Cup.

The country's sports newspaper Soccer Laduma reported that it has reliable information that his performance has made him sought after by big clubs in South Africa.

The source said, “Djibril Ouattara is a good goalkeeper, he is wanted by South African clubs. Many are looking at him, especially Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, who need a reliable striker.”

Ouattara, who signed a two-year contract with APR FC, has also played for other clubs such as Vitesse Arnhem in the Netherlands and RS Berkane in Morocco.
