The
Embassy of Rwanda in South Africa has announced that it is suspicious that
Kayumba Nyamwasa is being prosecuted for the crimes he is being prosecuted for,
he continues to spread lies and misinformation, based on supporting hate speech
and other criminal activities that continue to be committed against the
Mulenges and Congolese who speak Kinyarwanda, especially the Tutsis.
It
is a concern that the Embassy expressed on February 6, 2025, through X.
This
is in response to a South African newspaper called Newsroom Afrika, which
recently gave Kayumba time to give what they called his 'truth' about the
insecurity in Eastern DRC.
It
was caused by the bad spirit that rose between Rwanda and South Africa, due to
the words of President Cyril Ramaphosa, who said that the Rwandan Armed Forces
(RDF) are "rebels", and denied many of his discussions with President
Kagame on the issue of war in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
It
is a discussion about the fact that South Africa has troops that are fighting
the coalition of the RDC forces, in opposition to the M23, and the soldiers of
the Pretoria regime have recently fallen in the fighting.
Newsroom
Afrika quickly called the Spokesperson of the Government of Rwanda, Yolande
Makolo, who explained the role of the South African Army in the war that is
taking place in Eastern DRC, near the border of Rwanda, but in a short time the
interview was deleted, instead they posted what they had with Kanyumba Nyamwasa
and the leadership of Rwanda.
In
an interview of 33 minutes and 30 seconds, Kayumba Nyamwasa spoke about
everything that is in his heart that is changing the image of Rwanda, even to
the extent that it is the basis that the FDLR left to carry out the genocide
against the Tutsis in Rwanda in 1994, and that he is discrediting the M23 that
is fighting for its rights and those of the Congolese people who are always
being killed with the involvement of the Kinshasa State.
The
Embassy of Rwanda in South Africa reminded that this innocent Kayumba has been
involved in various activities aimed at disrupting the security of Rwanda,
using the "political group" of the RNC and the P5 rebel group he
leads.
In
the statement he continued, “Since 2012, Kayumba's RNC and the P5 coalition he
leads, have often recruited and trained rebels based in Eastern DRC. While
there was an aim to remove the leadership of Rwanda, although Kayumba and his
followers did not succeed, this rebel group joined with another group, often
involved in terrorist activities and harming Congolese Tutsis, supported by the
Government of Kinshasa.
The
Embassy of Rwanda in South Africa also announced that the support and
collaboration with the FDLR genocidals by Kayumba was not new, because it
continued to affect the people, who were killed as refugees in different
countries in the RDC region.
He
said, "Rwanda advises the media to be cautious and careful, to avoid
giving space to armed groups that always intend to disrupt the peace and
security of our region."
In
addition to the Rwandan Embassy in South Africa revealing the face of Kayumba
dressed in sheepskin, on February 02, 2025, Yolande Makolo through X revealed
the truth about this man.
Makolo
declared that the deletion of his statements about the South African Army,
which gave the site to the man who was sentenced by the Military Court in
absentia to a 24-year prison sentence, is testimony to the conspiracy of South
Africa.
Kayumba
Nyamwasa was convicted in absentia by a Military Court on January 14, 2011.
The
crimes he has committed include creating a terrorist organization, attempting
to undermine national security, violating the law and others.
These
are the crimes he committed after the grenade attacks in 2010 in the city of
Kigali on different occasions that killed many people.
Various
reports in recent years have revealed that Kayumba Nyamwasa had started to
gather fighters in Eastern DRC, in a plan to attack Rwanda.
