German Minister
of Technology and Infrastructure, Dr. Volker Wissing said that Rwanda is a
beautiful country, with beautiful people and beautiful scenery, encouraging
people to visit.
He announced this
on March 5, 2025, when he visited the Visit Rwanda stand at the International
Tourism Exhibition known as ITB (Internationale Tourismusborse Berlin) held in
Germany.
Minister Dr.
Wissing was received by the Director General of Tourism in the National
Development Board (RDB), Irène Murerwa, who is also leading the group of
Rwandans participating in the exhibition, and the Ambassador of Rwanda to
Germany, Igor Cesar.
When he had
visited the place where the activities of Visit Rwanda were highlighted,
Minister Dr. Wissing said, “It is a beautiful 'stand' here at the ITB
Exhibition, and Rwanda is being shown at its best. I would encourage people to
visit Rwanda, it is a beautiful country, with beautiful people and beautiful
scenery.
He said that he
himself has visited Rwanda several times, returning from the good things he
experienced there.
He said, “I have
had the opportunity to come to Rwanda many times, and every time I have seen
new things and beautiful people. It's a developed country, with good
infrastructure and a thriving economy, and it's a very tourist-friendly
country.”
In the
exhibition, which started on March 4-6, 2025, Rwanda was represented by 14
tourism companies, where the country is showing its natural beauty, what one
would expect when visiting the country, animals that can be visited and other
sights of the world. All this aims to show on the international stage that
Rwanda is a place worth visiting.
The ambassador of
Rwanda in Germany, Igor Cesar, said that it is important that Rwanda is
represented in this exhibition, because it allows it to better promote its
natural beauty to more than 5,800 people working in the field of tourism who
participated in the exhibition.
He said, "I
am happy with this opportunity that Rwanda, Visit Rwanda, has been given a seat
in the most important places to visit for tourists in the world."
He stressed that
participating in this exhibition helps those working in the tourism sector to
communicate with others at the international level, building cooperation.
