Warri, Delta State, was thrown into chaos on Saturday after a bloody clash broke out between Itsekiri and Urhobo youths at Okere Roundabout.
Both groups exchanged gunfire and engaged in violent attacks, leaving many people injured.
A video obtained by reporters captured armed youths in the confrontation as terrified residents ran for cover.
According to eyewitnesses, police officers were initially on ground but failed to step in.
Eventually, armed operatives of the Nigeria Police Force arrived, firing tear gas to break up the fight.
Several victims affected by gunshot wounds were rushed to nearby hospitals, though the actual number of casualties is yet to be confirmed by authorities.
