The Recording Academy, organisers of the world renowned Grammy Awards, has officially announced Davido’s induction in a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday.
Voting Members of the Recording Academy play a crucial role by reviewing entries, nominating contenders, and ultimately deciding Grammy winners.
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards is scheduled to take place on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
For the 2026 edition, Davido will join a distinguished list of members including Ravyn Lenae, Offset, Jessie Reyez, Zac Brown, Anne Akiko Meyers, Miles Minnick, Maya Elizabeth, Damien Sneed, Damaris, and Stewart Copeland.
Other Nigerians who are part of the Voting Members community include songwriter Tito Da Fire, rapper and Big Brother Naija winner Laycon, music executive Bizzle Osikoya, and singers Oxlade and Praiz, who secured admission in 2022.
Eligibility requires applicants to be active performers, producers, songwriters, engineers, instrumentalists, or creators currently working in the recording industry.
