The Rwanda National Men’s Football Team “Amavubi” will not play a friendly match in November, as it will hold a three-day retreat attended by domestic players.
From November 10 to 18, 2025, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) plans for men’s national teams to play tournaments or friendly matches.
Although FERWAFA held talks with various countries including Senegal, Comoros and Namibia on friendly matches, the Amavubi will not play a match.
This is after the new FERWAFA leadership realized that there was no friendly match scheduled for November, and that it was difficult to find funds to organize it, which was not part of the Ministry of Sports’ plans.
FERWAFA and Amavubi Coach, Adel Amrouche, are currently planning how Amavubi players playing domestically can come together for a three-day retreat, from November 12-16, 2025.
This retreat will help the coach ensure that the players understand his style of play and tactics, and they will also be accommodated at the FERWAFA hotel in Remera during the training period.
No Rwanda Premier League matches are scheduled this week as these days are reserved for national teams.
